Agustín Bataglia y su equipo obtuvieron importantes menciones en Rumania

Hace pocos días publicamos la noticia que un joven de Fasta, Agustín Bataglia junto a un equipo de compañeros de la universidad Austral, crearon un Torino autónomo que participaría en una competencia internacional en Rumania; es el primer equipo que representó al país y América Latina en una cita de este tipo.
El equipo obtuvo dos menciones: la Audience Award que premió el haber sido el proyecto más votado y la Marketing Award que premió al equipo que «mejor se vendió» en la opinión pública. Es la primera vez que un mismo equipo obtienen ambos premios.
En la competencia técnica llegaron hasta la semifinal donde la diferencia de presupuesto, marcaba también la diferencia de rendimiento de los prototipos.
La competencia es la Bosch Future Mobility Challenge (BFMC) congrega a equipos de estudiantes de todo el mundo para desarrollar diversos algoritmos de conectividad y conducción autónoma para autos a escala proporcionados por la empresa. Ese es el objetivo final de la competencia que tendrá lugar en el Bosch Engineering Center de ese municipio de la región de Transilvania. Para integrar la grilla en esta instancia decisiva el camino no fue para nada sencillo. El principal obstáculo o desafío fue el económico ya que como señala Agustín Battaglia, “el promedio de inversión de los equipos que llegaron a la semifinal ronda desde los 600 euros hacia arriba, incluso algunos pisaron casi el límite de los 1000 euros de inversión total que permite la compañía organizadora”.
La historia de Agustín es similar a la de muchos jóvenes del interior de Argentina que llegan a Buenos Aires a iniciar sus estudios universitarios y a tratar de concretar sus sueños. Agustín participó desde chico en ruca Cunumi de Fasta Jujuy y en algunas actividades cuando tuvo que trasladarse a Buenos Aires por estudios. Obtuvo una beca de la Universidad Austral luego de ser abanderado en el nivel primario y secundario del colegio Fasta San Alberto Magno.
