Tucumán: joven miliciano obtiene importante reconocimiento académico

El miliciano Daniel Díaz Miranda de Fasta Tucumán, estudiante de la carrera de ingeniería en la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, obtuvo junto a su equipo de compañeros fue el mejor del país en el Rally Latinoamericano de Innovación. El equipo de siete alumnos de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas presentó “Educar RV”, una solución digital para que adolescentes y adultos mayores ejerciten su razonamiento fisicomatemático.
El 4 y 5 de octubre, la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán (UNT) fue sede provincial del Rally Latinoamericano de Innovación 2024. La actividad reúne a jóvenes de toda la región para enfrentar problemas cotidianos con soluciones creativas que deben formularse en tan sólo 28 horas. El equipo tucumano eligió el desafío del deterioro cognitivo en los adultos mayores. Su proyecto “Educar RV” les valió el primer premio a nivel nacional en “Impacto Social” y el tercero de América Latina.
Los ganadores son siete estudiantes de tercer año de la carrera de Ingeniería Industrial. Conformaron el equipo “Los innovadores” Camilo Prado, Santiago Volentini, Micaela Bisdorff, Nicolás Fiori Herrera, Lautaro Lavaisse, Daniel Díaz Miranda, de 23 años, e Ignacio Rojas Nehuen de 26. Según contaron en una entrevista con LA GACETA en la facultad, se decidieron a unir dos grupos y a concursar luego de que una cátedra los instara a hacerlo. Al comienzo, «Los innovadores» dudaban porque estaban en época de parciales. “Nos sorprendió ganar a nivel nacional y, luego, lograr el tercer puesto en Latinoamérica fue aún más gratificante”, expresó Micaela, la única mujer del equipo.
Primeros entre 1.623 participantes
Este es el mejor resultado de la UNT en la historia del Rally: años anteriores, otros estudiantes de la Casa de Juan B. Terán habían conquistado el segundo puesto nacional. «Los innovadores» tucumanos compitieron contra más de 10.000 estudiantes, que formaron 1.304 equipos distribuidos en 185 sedes de nueve países: la Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Brasil, Chile, El Salvador y México. Tan sólo en la Argentina hubo 1.623 participantes, 50 de ellos de la UNT.
El proceso de evaluación se llevó a cabo en varias etapas, donde los proyectos se juzgaron en función de su innovación y del impacto social que podían generar. Nicolás Fiori Herrera destacó el estímulo que recibieron de parte del coordinador local del Rally, el ingeniero Benjamín Molina.
A pesar de que sus familiares, amigos y docentes los felicitan por el logro, ellos siguen sin poder creerlo. “Realmente no me imaginaba llegar a la instancia de Latinoamérica, en este preciso momento estoy cayendo todavía”, dijo Ignacio Rojas. Los chicos dijeron que sentían mucho orgullo por la manera en la que la comunidad académica celebraba este resultado.
